PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem that, when forming a transparent electrode such as an ITO on a semi-transparent reflecting film, the semi-transparent film having Ag as a main component is oxidized by oxygen introduced as a reactant gas, optical characteristics are deteriorated, and the luminous efficiency of an organic EL element is lowered. SOLUTION: In this organic EL display device in which an organic layer containing an organic luminescent layer between a first electrode and a second electrode formed by laminating a semi-transparent reflecting film and a transparent electrode, and the first electrode or the second electrode has a microscopic resonance structure to make the luminescence of the organic electroluminescent layer resonate, an oxygen interrupting thin metal film is formed on the semi-transparent reflecting film.
