PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select information useful to users from a number of groups of miscellaneous content and provide this information. SOLUTION: A service providing server 200 collects and stores a group of content scatted over a network such as the Internet; summarizes information written in the stored content to create content summary information; and conducts analysis to determine whether or not store position information for specifying the geographical position of a store related to the content is included in the content. If the store position information is found in the content, the server extracts the store position information and creates structured information as information corresponding to the content such that the content summary information and the store position information are information elements of the structured information. If the current position information of a mobile terminal is obtained, the structure information is referred to specify a store existing near the current position; based on the structured information corresponding to the store specified, content for provision to the mobile terminal is created.
