PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector and the like, capable of further efficiently updating of a plurality of pieces of firmware. SOLUTION: The projector 100 storing a plurality of pieces of firmware comprises an input part 112 for inputting collective update data 310 containing update data of at least one firmware and identification data for identifying firmware of an update object; a determination part 114 determining the firmware of the update object based on the identification data; and an update part 116 updating the firmware of the update object based on the update data.
