PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide glass powder which is made small-sized and spherical and contains a plurality of elements. SOLUTION: The glass powder is obtained through a step for preparing a mixed solution of an alcoholic solution containing an Si alkoxy compound and a B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>with a Ca salt-containing aqueous solution, a step for adding ammonia water into the mixed solution to prepare a reaction solution and preparing the glass powder containing Si, B and Ca in the reaction solution, a step for centrifuging the reaction solution to separate the glass powder and a step for drying the centrifugally separated glass powder. The glass powder comprises the oxides of Si, B and C and has particle diameter D50 of 20-200 nm in 50% cumulative number distribution of particle diameter, and L/S of 1-1.5, wherein L is the longest diameter and S is the shortest diameter.
