PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide barium titanate powder which has less deviation in composition, is fine powder and dense, and has a narrow particle-size distribution and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: Barium titanate powder which consists of barium titanate crystals with Ba/Ti ratio of 1-1.01, has a particle diameter D50 at which a cumulative number of particles becomes 50% in the particle-size distribution of 50-100 nm, and has a ratio of a standard deviationσof the particle-size distribution to D50 (σ/D50) of 0.5 or less is obtained by spraying liquid droplets atomized by applying ultrasonic waves to a solution containing metal barium and titanium alkoxide along with a heated carrier gas into a reaction tube kept at 1,100-1,400°C and pressure lower than the atmospheric pressure.
