PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability against a molten metal of magnesium, a magnesium-containing alloy which has strong erosive property while keeping excellent heat insulation, specific strength or machinability of calcium silicate in a heat resistant material for a low melting point metal casting apparatus. SOLUTION: The heat resistant material for the low melting point metal casting apparatus contains calcium silicate and a fluoride.
