PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens which is made of high refractive index and low-dispersion glass and does not occur defects such as haze or burn marks on an optical-functional surface. SOLUTION: The lens is obtained by precision press molding of optical glass having a refractive index (n<SB>d</SB>) of >1.83, an Abbe's number (ν<SB>d</SB>) of≥40 and a glass transition temperature (T<SB>g</SB>) of≤640°C, and not containing Li<SB>2</SB>O, and has any of a meniscus shape, a biconcave shape and a plano-concave shape.
