PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device capable of preventing an upper protective part which is an upper folding body of an airbag from being directly bitten in a neck or a chin of an occupant without increasing the number of components even if the airbag is developed when a small occupant such as a child seated in a front passenger seat stands up immediately in front of an instrument panel. SOLUTION: An airbag 3 has an upper protective part located from a head to a chest of an occupant when the airbag is inflated and developed, and a lower protective part located on a belly part of the occupant. A mouth part 6 continuous to a base end side with an inflator fitted thereto is arranged on the occupant side of the airbag 3. A branched part 14 is continuously provided between an upper folding body 4 of the upper protective part and a lower folding body 5 of the lower protective part. The airbag is stored in a case with the upper folding body 4 being located below the branched part 14, and the lower folding body 5 being located above the branched part 14.
