PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus capable of precisely conveying a medium while deflection of a rotating shaft of a conveying driving roller is corrected. SOLUTION: The recording apparatus is equipped with a recording head 24 for delivering ink to the medium 19 while it moves back and forth to the medium 19, and a conveying part 40 for conveying the medium 19 to a position opposing the recording head 24, are equipped. The conveying part 40 has a conveying driving roller 41 whose both ends are supported and which is rotated by providing a driving force, and a conveying following roller 43 which pinches the medium 19 between it and the conveying driving roller 41, and follows the conveying driving roller 41 to rotate. The recording apparatus is also equipped with a piezoelectric element 220 performing a stretching and contracting movement by loading an electric voltage, and furthermore, an actuator 100 coming into contact with the conveying driving roller 41 at least at a part of the stretching and contracting movement between both ends of the conveying driving roller 41 from the direction solving the deflection of the conveying driving roller 41 to give a driving force to the conveying driving roller 41.
