PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise a degree of freedom of designing a distance between nozzle arrays. SOLUTION: A controller can control a dot forming operation and a conveyance operation in a plurality of printing modes. In the case where a print image is constituted by dots formed in all the pixels, when each printing mode is carried out, each dot array is formed by the prescribed number of nozzles according to the printing mode. The dot arrays are arranged at a prescribed distance in a prescribed direction according to the printing mode and a dot formed by a nozzle in each of the nozzle arrays is formed on the dot array formed by any printing mode.
