METHOD FOR SEPARATION OF LACTIC ACID COMPONENT FROM LACTIC ACID FERMENTATION LIQUOR, AND SEPARATION APPARATUS

A lactic acid component (e.g., lactic acid, a lactic acid oligomer) can be produced by extracting a lactic acid fermentation liquor having a pH value of 4.8 or lower with at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of toluene, xylene, mesitylene, ethylbenzene, methanol, ethanol, propanol, butanol and mineral spirit. A lactic acid oligomer can be produced by: heating a lactic acid fermentation liquor having a pH value of 4.8 or lower under reduced pressure; and washing the resulting fermentation liquor containing the lactic acid oligomer with water. Provided is a method for separation of a lactic acid component from a lactic acid fermentation liquor, which is free from the concern of contamination of impurities and comprises simple steps.
