<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight module that adjusts the color temperature of a light ray emitted from a light source only by preparing the light source having one type of color temperature and arranging a single color layer. <P>SOLUTION: This backlight module comprises a light guide plate, a light source disposed on a side surface of the light guide plate, a reflecting sheet disposed under the light guide plate, and a color layer having a predetermined color, and disposed under the reflecting sheet for positioning the reflecting sheet between the light guide plate and the color layer. In the backlight module, a light ray emitted from the light source is refracted by the light guide plate; thereafter a part of the light ray penetrates the reflecting sheet and is reflected by the color layer to generate colored light; and the colored light is mixed with the light ray emitted from the light source to provide the light ray emitted from the light guide plate with desired color. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
