<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly detect a print failure by excluding any action to input a normal print result as defective printing. <P>SOLUTION: This printing system is provided with a printing part 324 for performing printing on a prescribed printing medium; a print result prediction part 320 for predicting a print result on the printing medium; an image reading part 316 arranged at the downstream of the printing position of the printing medium and at the upstream of the ejecting position of the printing medium on a conveyance path for conveying the printing medium for optically reading a print result on the printing medium; and a print result determination part 322 for determining the failure of printing on the printing medium based on the print result prediction data acquired by predicting the print result on the printing medium by the print result prediction part 320 and the print result read data acquired by reading the print result on the printing medium by the image reading part 316. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
