TIRE WIDTH DISCRIMINATING DEVICE, TRAVELLING DIRECTION DISCRIMINATING DEVICE, AND VEHICLE TYPE DISCRIMINATING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy of a tire width, a traveling direction or the like which are elements required for discriminating a vehicle type.

SOLUTION: The tire width discriminating device has: a first step board 15a arranged obliquely to the traveling direction of a vehicle on a road surface of a driving lane; and a second step board 15b arranged in parallel to the first step board 15a. The device discriminates the tire width of the vehicle 10 traveling the driving lane, based on how a stepping detection period when stepping is detected by the first step board 15a is temporarily overlapped with the stepping detection period when stepping is detected by the second step board 15b. The tire width discrimination device comprises a correction part for correcting the stepping detection periods detected by the first step board 15a and the second step board 15b, and discriminates the tire width by using the stepping detection period after correction by the correction part.
