PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record an image picked up newly during reproduction of an image. SOLUTION: During reproduction of an image P<SB>3</SB>recorded on a memory card 24 in a reproduction mode, when a prescribed image is picked up, the picked-up image is overwritten from an address A<SB>3</SB>in an area where the image P<SB>3</SB>under reproduction is recorded. When a prescribed image is picked up in a recording mode, the picked-up image is added with postscript in an unrecording area where the image of the memory card 24 is not recorded from an address A<SB>M</SB>.
