PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small light-weight camera stand which can support various shapes of compact cameras and mobile phones incorporating cameras, without blocking the light-emitting surface of the camera flash when photographing, and freely set the vertical or the horizontal photographing position and can also be used for digital cameras. SOLUTION: This camera stand 1 is constituted of legs 2, a free universal head 3, a base 4 horizontally secured on top of the free universal head 3, a lock plate 5, and auxiliary lock plates 6. The lock plate 5 is a rectangular plate, made of a transparent material with many holes 5a formed around it. The auxiliary lock plates 6 are attached to both sides of the lock plate 5, in a manner that is freely openable.
