PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration, noise, magnetic noise, and the like, of a three-brush motor equipped with brushes for low speed and high speed. SOLUTION: The motor 1 has twelve tees 9, twelve slots 11 formed between the tees 9, a brush 21a for low speed, a brush 21b for high speed, and a common brush 21c. A coil 7A is wound between the slots 11a and 11f, and a coil 7B is wound between a slot 11b adjacent to the slot 11a and slots 11h, 11a existing at positions point symmetric to the center of the rotating shaft 5 in the direction reverse to the coil 7A. As the motor 1 operates, nonconduction coils due to the brush 21b for high speed appear alternately at one slot adjacent positions (P1-Q1, P2-Q2). Since the nonconduction coils P1-Q2, P2-Q1 appear alternately at opposing positions and do not reside at asymmetric positions, magnetic balance is stabilized and whirling force of the armature is suppressed.
