PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condenser microphone in which stability in microphone operation is ensured without complicating manufacturing steps, the vibration property of a diaphragm is enhanced, and microphone sensitivity is improved by reducing parasitic capacitance of a condenser. SOLUTION: A diaphragm 10 includes a central portion 12 and a peripheral portion 14, and four circular through-holes 16 are provided in an intermediate area of the central portion 12. A back plate 20 is disposed concentrically with the diaphragm 10 and a radius of the back plate 20 is approximately equal with that of the central portion 12 of the diaphragm 10. Therefore, the back plate 20 is in an approximately corresponding relation with the central portion 12 of the diaphragm 10, and the peripheral portion 14 of the diaphragm 10 is being protruded from the back plate 20. The back plate 20 is supported on a supporting substrate 30 by four pillar-like insulating second supporting parts 52 positioned within the four through-holes 16 of the diaphragm 10.
