PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage controlled oscillator having circuit scale reducible by reducing the number of components. SOLUTION: A voltage controlled oscillator is equipped with an oscillation circuit (2), a plurality of resonance circuits (5, 6) and a switching means (4) for selectively connecting any one of the plurality of resonance circuit with the oscillation circuit, wherein each resonance circuit includes an LC resonance circuit corresponding to a predetermined resonant frequency and a variable capacitance diode which controls the resonant frequency.
