PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an offset voltage of a scan pulse to be within a margin regardless of a large change of a setting range of a scan pulse width in the case that the margin of the offset voltage is narrow, with respect to a technique for changing the scan pulse width in accordance with length of a scan discharge delay time of a PDP. SOLUTION: A plasma display device includes: a scan pulse width setting means 23 which sets a width of the scan pulse in accordance with a delay time of the start of a selection discharge after application of the scan pulse; an offset voltage setting means 27 which sets an offset amount of the voltage of the scan pulse to a reference value in accordance with the scan pulse width set by the scan pulse width setting means 23; and a scan pulse output means 31 which outputs a scan pulse having a voltage value offset from the reference value by the offset amount set by the offset voltage setting means 27, to the plasma display panel.
