PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform alignment for generating images which can be stereoscopically viewed. SOLUTION: The stereoscopic image generator for generating stereoscopic images on the basis of an L image which is an image for a left eye and an R image which is an image for a right eye comprises: an image acquisition means for acquiring the L image and the R image; an image display means for displaying a superimposed image which is an image for which the L image and the R image are superimposed at a prescribed relative position; a relative position adjustment means for adjusting the prescribed relative position; and a generation means for generating the stereoscopic image on the basis of the L image, the R image and the prescribed relative position. The image display means divides an area to display the superimposed image into a first area and a second area by a division line, and displays the image for which the L image is displayed on the side of the first area from the division line and the R image is displayed on the side of the second area from the division line as the superimposed image.
