SOLUTION: In a zoom lens having a plurality of lens groups La, Lb and an aperture stop SP, a refractive optical element GIT constituted of a solid material which satisfies a conditionθgF-(-1.665×10-7νd3+5.213×10-5νd2-5.656×10-3νd+0.755)>0, whereνd is an Abbe number andθgF is a partial dispersion ratio, is arranged in the lens group whose variation in a distance from the aperture stop SP during zooming is large.
