PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accelerator pedal device capable of detecting presence/absence of any step-in of an accelerator pedal with a simple structure difficult to break. SOLUTION: One end of a pedal lever (4) is turnably mounted on a shaft (3) and the other end is mounted on a pedal tread (5). The pedal lever is urged counterclockwise by a return spring (6). When the pedal tread is not stepped in, a first abutting part (4a) of the pedal lever is abutted on a first stopper part (7a). An abutting detection sensor (8) capable of detecting that the first abutting part of the pedal lever is abutted is provided on a surface of the first stopper part. An ECU (10) determines that the pedal tread is not stepped in when the abutting detection sensor detects that the first abutting part of the pedal lever is abutted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
