PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the opening/closing number of a shutter curtain with extreme accuracy even in various use states such as a fully opened or totally closed state, a totally closed or half opened state and a fully opened or partially closed state while allowing the installation of attachments such as an obstacle detector and a fall preventing device on the guide rail side, in measurement of opening/closing number of a panel shutter device. SOLUTION: A panel shutter device provided with a shutter curtain 8 composed of a plurality of bendably connected panels 9 to open/close an opening 1 is provided with an opening/closing number measuring device provided with a counter at one of the adjacent panels and constituted to operate the counter by relative rotational displacement between the adjacent panels.
