PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve gear of an internal combustion engine capable of driving a valve driving rocker for restraining generation of a twist. SOLUTION: This variable valve gear uses a constitution having a pair of rocker arm parts 91 respectively arranged on both sides sandwiching a cam following rocker 80 as the valve driving rocker 90 controlling exhaust valves, having a boss part 92 rotatably supported by a rocker shaft 27 part on both sides of the cam following rocker 80 in one end part and having an arm part 93 extending in a straight line shape up to the exhaust valves 15a and 15b from the boss part 92 in the other end part, and a connecting arm part 95 connecting the mutual arm parts in an extension end part of the arm part 93. The exhaust valves 15a and 15b are driven by displacement transmitted from the cam following rocker 80, while restraining generation of torsional stress, even when deviatively arranged to one side between the exhaust valves 15a and 15b by this portal valve driving rocker 90.
