PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic operation type submerged pump capable of stably stopping around a target stop water level by a single water level detection sensor. SOLUTION: A capacitance sensor 3 for measuring timing for starting a submerged pump 1 is provided at a detection position of a trigger water level TL. A start timer of which count is started by detection of the trigger water level by the capacitance sensor 3 and which starts the submerged pump 1 after predetermined established time Ta elapses, and a drop time measuring timer of which count is started by start of the submerged pump 1 and which measures water level drop time Tb until the water level drops to the trigger level TL are provided. Pump continuous operation time Tc required for drop of the water level H to a stop water level LL is operated based on the water level drop time Tb, and operation control is done to stop the submerged pump 1 after the pump continuous operation time Tc elapses.
