An image processing unit (8) includes: a frequency analysis unit (12) for frequency-analyzing a time series change p_x,y(t_i) of an echo intensity frame (p_x,y) or a time series change q_x,y(t_i) of Doppler speed frame (q_x,y) at each point of an examinee cross section obtained by scanning the examinee cross section by an ultrasonic beam so as to detect an amplitude frame (PA) of a particular frequency component and a phase frame (PP) of a particular frequency component; and an image generation unit (13) for generating a two-dimensional image based on the amplitude of the detected particular frequency component and a phase of the particular frequency component. Thus, it is possible to provide an image processing device capable of observing a two-dimensional shape of the examinee, intensity of a cyclic motion of the examinee, and a spatial continuity of a phase of cyclic motion of the examinee.
