<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily improve multiplexing precision, when a plurality of illumination light beams modulated by a first optical modulating element are to be multiplexed. <P>SOLUTION: A multiplexing means 80 at least has two prisms 80R and 80B or more, having total reflecting surfaces 81R and 81B which totally reflect the illumination light beam made incident at a predetermined angle and transmit the illumination light beam made incident at an angle different from the predetermined angle and reflection surfaces 82R and 82B which reflect the illumination light, totally reflected by the total reflection surfaces 81R and 81B to a predetermined optical path LX extending to a second optical modulating element, and a predetermined prism and another prism, different from the predetermined prism are disposed, such that the total reflection surface of one prism and the reflection surface of the other prism abut against each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
