PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of super-finishing a bearing ring of a roller bearing, which super-finishes a crowning surface in the rolling surface of a roller bearing, while preventing deformation in the axial direction. SOLUTION: A grinding wheel 5 is normally and reversely rotated, while traversing the grinding wheel 5 in parallel with the rolling surface 1a of the bearing ring 1, and fine vibration is given. The grinding wheel 5 is turned so that the center axis 5a of the grinding wheel 5 always maintains a normal N1 (-N4) direction of the crowning surface C1 (-C4) formed in the rolling surface 1a, and the grinding wheel 5 is pressurized in the normal N1 (-N4) direction.
