<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector that can sufficiently suppress the generation of a flicker to achieve a stable image projection; to provide a method of controlling light source; and to provide a program. <P>SOLUTION: The projector includes: an AC driving light source lamp 19; a color wheel 20 that is rotationally driven, where a plurality of segments including a transparent segment W for at least transmitting white light are arranged so as to be divided on its periphery whose part is inserted into a light-path from the light source lamp 19 to selectively transmit the light from the light source lamp 19; a projection system including a micromirror element 17 and a projection lens 23, which is synchronized with a rotation of color wheel 20, and forms a light image by light which has passed through the color wheel 20 to project the light image; an operating section 27 for increasing a driving frequency of the light source lamp 19 during period when the transparent segment W in the color wheel 20 is inserted in the light-path from the lamp; and a projection lamp processing section 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
