摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the gear-shift shock in a vehicle drive system having a motor generator as a drive source. <P>SOLUTION: During non-gear-shift, the controller of a vehicle drive system controls power running operation or regenerative operation of a motor generator, in response to the traveling state within a range, in which the SOC value does not exceed a prescribed battery management range which is set narrower than the battery performance limit (steps S004-S009), also performs power running operation or regenerative operation of the motor generator, regardless of the charging state value of the battery, when the vehicle is in gear-shift, and performs torque generation or torque absorption so as to reduce the gear-shift shock (step S003). Even when the SOC value exceeds the battery management range, since the controller has margin of power up to the battery performance limit, the controller performs torque absorption/addition operation, without depending on the charging state of the battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
