<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake controller for a motorcycle capable of achieving a higher degree of braking performance while suppressing the floating of the rear wheel better. <P>SOLUTION: The brake controller 100 for a motorcycle is equipped with a deceleration monitor value acquiring means 21 to acquire the deceleration monitor value which is in correlation with the deceleration of the motorcycle, a control target value setting means 23 to set the control target value in correlation with the limit deceleration monitor value at which a rear wheel flotation occurs at the time of braking, a braking force incremental gradient setting means 24 to set repetitively the incremental gradient of the braking force of a front wheel brake device FB so that the incremental gradient of the braking force of the front wheel brake FB in case the difference between the control target value and the deceleration monitor value remains small, becomes smaller than the corresponding value in case the difference is large, and a braking force controlling means 25 to control the braking force of the front wheel brake FB on the basis of the set incremental gradient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
