PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photochemical treatment device with a size and cost suppressed and capable of restraining an adverse effect on an output or the like caused by a temperature rise at ultraviolet-ray irradiation. SOLUTION: The photochemical treatment device is provided with a tubular discharge lamp 1 irradiating ultraviolet rays, an inner electrode 2 fitted in the discharge lamp 1, an outer electrode 3 fitted in the vicinity of a part of the outer periphery face of the discharge lamp 1 and formed of a thin sheet metal with a semicircular cross section, a blower mechanism 5 for sending air toward the side of the outer electrode 3 where the discharge lamp is not installed, and a voltage impressing means 4 for impressing a high-frequency voltage between the inner electrode and the outer electrode.
