PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relax hitting sound generated by a movable side rack plate hitting a fixed side rack plate when a rack is moved by the rotation of a pinion in optical disk player. SOLUTION: The optical disk player is provided with a rack 7 that holds an optical pickup unit 6 and moves by the rotation of the pinion 61. The rack 7 comprises the fixed side rack plate 51 fixed to the optical pickup unit 6 and the movable side rack plate 52 that is freely slidable with respect to the fixed side rack plate 51, wherein projection pieces 81 to 83 of the fixed side rack plate 51 are inserted into guide grooves 91 to 93 of the movable side rack plate 52. A projection part (pressing member) 94 composed of a resin spring is formed on the fixed side rack plate 51. The projection part 94 presses a support 85 of the fixed side rack plate 51 to thereby press the inner surfaces of the guide grooves 91 to 93 against the projection pieces 81 to 83 by the force of reaction, suppressing backlashing of the movable side rack plate 52 and the fixed side rack plate 51.
