PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk apparatus capable of preventing a foreign substance from being caught when a disk tray is closed. SOLUTION: At a pulley 6, engaging pawls 61 for stopping rotation of the pulley itself are formed. To the lower part of a carrying port of the disk tray 4 of a frame 2, a lever member 8 is fitted rotatably by a fitting part 82. The lever member 8 has an engaging hook 81. Then, even when carrying-in action of the disk tray 4 is performed with the foreign substance inserted to the hole part 41 of the disk tray 4, pushing of the lever member 8 into the frame 2 engages an engaging hook 81 with the engaging pawls 61 to forcedly stop the rotation of the pulley 6 being a transmission mechanism of driving force from a motor 5 to stop carrying-in of the disk tray 4 into the frame 2.
