PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water flow detector of a structure where a seal member installed between a valve and a valve seat is hardly removed in the water flow detector where a primary part is connected with a water source, where a secondary side is connected to a piping where a sprinkler head is installed, whose inside is divided into a primary chamber and a secondary chamber and where the valve capable of opening and closing a communication port making both of the chambers communicate with each other. SOLUTION: A groove 17 with a trapezoidal cross section where the seal member 16 is installed to keep a gap between the communication port and the valve 2 watertight when the valve is closed is unevenly engraved, and a hole 18 making the groove 17 communicate with the outside is generated.
