PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lactic acid bacterium belonging to the genus Lactococcus having immunoactivating effect suitable to producing a fermented milk, to provide a lactic acid bacterium belonging to the genus Lactococcus, presenting viscosity through producing extracellular polysaccharides in milk, and to provide a method for producing a fermented milk with immunoactivating effect and viscosity using these lactic acid bacteria in combination. SOLUTION: The lactic acid bacterium, Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris, and the other lactic acid bacterium, Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis biovar. diacetylactis YRC3784 strain(NITE P-144), having immunoactivating effect and isolated from kefir, are provided, respectively.
