The invention relates to a solarium with a UV filter or UV converter, and with a UV module that has a UV emitter with a minimum power rating of 0.5 KW and has a reflector. The UV module is arranged behind a screen or on a ceiling of a room or on the top of a mobile carriage. Moreover, in order to irradiate an area located in front of the screen by radiation from the UV module, a reflector is set at a distance from the UV module. The invention permits the use of a solarium in patient treatment rooms in hospitals or residential homes.
