The invention relates to the simple laying of boards of material to a high standard of quality, preferably for dry construction.Modern boards of material for dry construction, such as oriented strand boards, veneer laminated wood boards and plastic boards are joined together flush with their orthogonal edges or specially shaped board edges, depending on the type of board - during the assembly of the wall, for example, that is to be erected. The first type of edges mean that the abutted boards are not held together well because of the lack of possible means of securing them, the second type of edges can be secured by the special formations on them, but they all allow themselves to wobble slightly and slide back from their edge securement before being fixed on a support structure behind them and require a very flat underlying structure and can only be used for building planar walls, but not angled walls and so on. The invention is briefly characterized by edge formations on boards of material by way of cylindrical scarf joints with adjoining angled run-out of an edge of the board of material and correspondingly shaped mating edge, whereby all the aforementioned disadvantages are eliminated. The main areas of application are in dry construction.
