<p>A field emission electrode using carbon nanotubes and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce a driving voltage of a field emission device by applying an electrode including single-walled carbon nanotubes formed on a ZnO layer. A field emission electrode includes a substrate(10), a ZnO layer(12) formed on the substrate and carbon nanotubes(16) formed on the ZnO layer. The carbon nanotubes is grown on a catalyst material(14). The conductivity of the ZnO layer is controlled by doping a dopant containing any one of In, Al, Li, Tb, Ga, Co, B and Zr. Since the ZnO layer is stable at a relatively high temperature, the carbon nanotubes are stably formed on the substrate at a relatively high temperature.</p> |
