<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal unit, having a mounted location measurement function of informing a user of a communicable time being calculated from the residual capacity of a secondary battery in correspondence with the place of the user, in the mobile terminal unit operated by the secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile terminal unit for detecting the longitude and latitude of the position of the self-mobile unit terminal using a GPS signal calculates the communicable time at the present place, from: the longitude and latitude information of the self-mobile unit terminal position by the GPS signal; the longitude and latitude information of a base station position received from the base station; a distance data between the base station and the self-mobile terminal unit position; a transmission output current data stored in the past; and the residual capacity of the secondary battery, so as to avoid the possibility of occurrence of a communication break because of the shortage of the residual battery capacity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
