<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the crack of ceramic caused at the sintering of a ceramic green body in a ceramic producing step, electrical conductivity deterioration, insulation performance deterioration and mechanical strength deterioration in solid electrolyte using the ceramic. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing a ceramic green body, the ceramic green body is formed by using slurry for the ceramic green body under a gas phase atmosphere in which the content of fine particles having a size of 0.5 μm or more is 100,000 pieces/ft<SP>3</SP>or less.
