<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for driving and rotating a photoreceptor drum so as to rotate at the same speed as a transfer belt by stably detecting the actual rotational speed of the transfer belt. <P>SOLUTION: The drive unit 1 includes: a driving force transmission unit 3 transmitting driving force of a motor 2 to the photoreceptor drum 71; an arrangement changing part 63; a speed detection sensor 5; and a motor rotation control part 61. The arrangement changing part 63 controls the arrangement state of the transfer belt 73 driven to be rotated by a drive unit 77 different from the drive unit 1 and the photoreceptor drum 71. The speed detection sensor 5 detects the rotational speed of the photoreceptor drum 71 when the photoreceptor drum 71 and the transfer belt 73 are brought into press-contact with each other to such an extent that the photoreceptor drum 71 rotates following the transfer belt 73. The motor rotation control part 61 controls the rotation of the motor 2 so as to rotate the photoreceptor drum 71 at the detected rotational speed when the photoreceptor drum 71 and the transfer belt 73 are arranged so that the photoreceptor drum 71 does not rotate following the transfer belt 73. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
