<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for a dye layer, prevented from migration of a dye to a heat-resistant slippery layer, hardly causing scumming at printing, having high transfer sensitivity and transfer efficiency of the dye at heat-sensitive transfer, and for forming the dye layer providing a sufficiently satisfactory high-density printed product. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition for the dye layer containing at least the dye, a binder resin and a solvent further contains a thermally migrating additive. The dye is soluble in the thermally migrating additive at a temperature not lower than the melting point of the thermally migrating additive, and the thermally migrating additive is a fatty acid ester having at least one hydroxy group in the molecule. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
