<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant condition detector which suppresses degradation in detection accuracy of the condition of an occupant. <P>SOLUTION: The occupant condition detector which detects the of the occupant taking the seat of a vehicle, has: a pressure detection means 4 which is provided at the seat to detect the pressure of the occupant applied to the seat and to output a signal of the detected pressure to timewise continuously; an operation burden calculation means for calculating the operation burden of the occupant using the output signal; a signal component determination means for determining whether or not the output signal contains a prescribed signal component which degrades calculation accuracy of the operation burden calculated by the operation burden calculation means; and an output signal correction means for correcting the output signal in during the period of time that the output signal contains the prescribed signal component. The operation burden calculation means calculates the operation burden on the occupant using the output signal corrected by the output signal correction means in the period of time that the output signal contains the prescribed signal component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
