CLOSED LOOP LEVEL CONTROL AND APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AND DISCHARGING PASTY MASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for affecting or controlling the degree of discharging in a discharging hopper for an inflow mass in addition to the closed loop level control.

SOLUTION: A vacuum hopper 1 is equipped with an inlet 7 for feeding the pasty mass, especially sausage meat, an outlet 13 for discharging the pasty mass and an inlet valve 3 arranged in the inlet 7 and producing a negative pressure in the vacuum hopper 1. In order to affect the degree of discharging of the inflow mass, the inlet valve 3 in an opened state forms an inlet gap for the pasty mass and the closed loop level control can be performed so that the gap height h affects the degree of discharging of the pasty mass.
