摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for manufacturing a rotor in which a rotor shaft and a ring magnet can be centered, and to provide a motor for electric power steering. SOLUTION: In the process for manufacturing a rotor 20, a rotor shaft 21 and a ring magnet 23 are magnetized before being fitted and during an interval before the adhesive is hardened after fitting, the rotor shaft 21 and the ring magnet 23 are made to repel in the radial direction with mutual magnetic force and held in centered state to hold the centered state of the rotor shaft 21 and the ring magnet 23. Consequently, a rotor 20 where the rotor shaft 21 and the ring magnet 23 are centered can be manufactured. Since the thickness of an adhesive layer 25 concerning the rotor 20 becomes uniform over the entire circumference of the rotor 20, cracking of the ring magnet 23 can be prevented. Since the air gap between the ring magnet 23 and the stator 11 becomes uniform over the entire circumference, magnetic characteristics (cogging torque, torque ripple, and the like) can be enhanced in a motor 10 equipped with this rotor 20.
