PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for employing a rotor rotatable about a predetermined axis while having inverse saliency. SOLUTION: A plurality of magnets 12a and 12b are arranged annularly on a substrate 11 with symmetric polarity around the shaft hole 10. A magnetic plate 541 covers the pole face of the magnets 12a and 12b from the stator side. The magnetic plate 541 has slits 55a and 55b extending through the magnetic plate 541 from a position close to the shaft hole 10 to a position remote therefrom and opening. The magnetic bodies 54a and 54b are mutually coupled at the outer circumferential end of the slits 55a and 55b through thin portions 56a and 56b, and at the end of the side of the shaft hole 10 through thin portions 56c and 56d. The slits 55a and 55b are positioned between the magnets 12a and 12b on the plan view and prevent short circuit of magnetic flux. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
