PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surge voltage absorber and a quantification device provided with the surge voltage absorber by which no surge voltage arises even when omission, displacement and defects of soldering occur, and which can contribute to the reduction in footprint and cost as well as an intrinsically safe and explosion-proof structure whose assuredness and safety is further increased. SOLUTION: The surge voltage absorber 28 is provided with a substrate 30, a pair of circuits 31 which is formed on the substrate 30, and a plurality of chip diodes 32 which are connected over the pair of circuits 31. A plurality of circuit dividers 36 are formed in the intermediate part of the circuits 31. The circuit dividers 36 are formed by dividing the circuits 31 at predetermined intervals. The circuit dividers 36 are formed according to the mounting location of the chip diodes 32. Each of the circuit dividers 36 is provided with a pair of protrusions 37.
