PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method where, for producing a sheet-shaped porous molded body, raw materials are cracked, uniformly dispersed, and packed. SOLUTION: The method for producing a sheet-shaped porous body supplies fibrous raw materials, powdery raw materials or their mixed raw materials to a dispersion chamber in a packing apparatus, uniformly disperses in the dispersion chamber, and drops the dispersed raw materials in the dispersion chamber to uniformly pack on the surface of a base material arranged at the lower part of the packing apparatus.
